Logistics Sales Account Representative
Job Type: Full-time; Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Research leads and reach decision makers to service freight opportunities.
- Build, maintain, and grow customer relationships through cold calls and consistent communication.
- Utilize a deep understanding of company service offerings to effectively communicate how they benefit existing and prospective customers.
- Effectively balance existing business, prospective business, and lead generation.
- Develop a portfolio of active clients.
- Participate in bid opportunities, both tactical and strategic (RFP process).
- Collaborate with carrier operations and Key Account teams to source capacity.
- Realize monthly sales targets.
- Utilize CRM to identify or generate leads, actively maintain them, and
update records in the CRM.
Negotiate rates, develop logistics solutions, and execute freight on
behalf of customers. - Advise customer base on transportation market intelligence, providing
recommendations. - Work closely with vendors, carriers, customers, and account managers to ensure the highest level of service and support.
- Effectively support teammates’ customers when they are out of office.
Experience:
- Associate’s Degree (2-year college or technical school) is required; Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or technical school is preferred. Field of Study: Transportation, Logistics.
- At least 2+ years of experience in Sales/Business Development.
- Experience in Logistics/Brokerage is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills are needed.
This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission.
