Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Sales and
Dispatcher to join their logistics team. This dual-role position is responsible for generating new business opportunities in freight transportation while managing day-to-day dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with a deep understanding of the transportation industry.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in freight and logistics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with customers and freight brokers.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company targets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and competition.
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to management.
- Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles based on customer needs and load availability.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address issues as they arise.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and brokers throughout the transportation process.
- Maintain accurate records of load assignments, route plans, and delivery statuses.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Resolve conflicts or delays in a proactive and efficient manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in logistics, business, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in transportation sales, dispatching, or logistics (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of freight brokerage, transportation regulations, and dispatch software (e.g., TMS).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
