Inside Sales Logistics Account Manager

Inside Sales Logistics Account Manager
This role is tailored for a highly motivated individual committed to driving sales and providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for managing and building current accounts as well as fostering new business opportunities. Your focus will be on selling a comprehensive range of freight services, including but not limited to drayage, full truckloads, less-than-truckloads, and warehousing. This position encompasses inside sales, business development, and limited outside sales activities. The goal is maintaining existing relationships while strategically expanding the company’s customer base and service offerings.

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current accounts through regular check-ins, feedback collection, and problem-solving.
- Provide pricing for existing customers' quote requests using a data-driven approach.
- Utilize a sophisticated sales approach to identify and secure long-term opportunities and volume from new and existing clients.
- Actively seek referrals from current clients to organically grow the customer base.
- As needed, visit customers to deepen relationships and better understand their needs.
- Use these visits to identify new opportunities for business expansion.
- Maintain and update CRM (preferably Salesforce) records for each customer interaction, including calls, meetings, quotes, and sales.
- Utilize CRM analytics to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Work towards and achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly individual sales goals.
- Able to find creative ways to source new leads and solve problems. Should be willing to go above and beyond to meet client needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with 3PL/Freight Broker/Transportation industry is a significant plus, but not a requirement. Open to candidates from other sales and customer service backgrounds who demonstrate a quick learning curve.
- Experience in inside sales, outside sales, and business development. A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability to use effective selling techniques inside and outside sales environments.
- Ability to secure favorable terms and agreements that benefit the customer and the company.
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills for clear, persuasive interactions with clients and team members.
- Must possess the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively, offering immediate and long- term solutions.
- A proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and the drive to see tasks through to completion.
- Ability to work harmoniously with sales, operations, and logistics teams to provide comprehensive service to clients.
- Prior customer service experience, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM/TMS systems is a plus but not essential.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
