Our client is an experienced brokerage team offering full truckload, LTL, and intermodal with access to their asset based fleet, as well as 15,000+ partner carriers with all equipment types.
 
Logistics Operations Representative
This role will be responsible for data entry, scheduling shipment
appointments, tracking and tracing loads, and working to address and resolve any customer-related issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Input data entry and upkeep of all carrier and customer files.
  • Maintain up-to-date legal paperwork for carriers.
  • Input data entry of new loads for the sales and brokerage staff.
  • Schedule shipment appointments.
  • Track and trace load progress as needed.
  • Perform credit checks on prospects and maintain updated credit reports on all brokerage customers.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date SOP’s for daily operations and how to use internal system.
  • Obtain overdue proof of delivery forms for accounting department.
  • Maintain spreadsheets of important sales information (new customers, daily/weekly/ monthly revenue reporting).
  • Answer inquiries and address, resolve or escalate issues to management personnel to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Complete relevant tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or Director of Brokerage Operations and Sales.
Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Transportation industry experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of customer service and/or data entry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with McLeod transportation software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong keyboarding ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
  • Personable, outgoing team player that can multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Scheduling and/or project planning experience preferred.
  • Database management preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment, such as multi-line phone systems, copiers, fax machines, and scanners preferred.
  • Employee training and development preferred.
