Freight Sales Account Manager
This is a full-time remote role for a Freight Sales Account Manager whose day-to-day tasks include managing existing accounts, building strong relationships with customers, securing new business, negotiating pricing, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Freight Sales Account Manager will work closely with shippers and carriers to maximize business opportunities and meet the needs of customers. In addition, the Freight Sales Account Manager will collaborate with internal teams across multiple departments to drive growth, improve customer retention, and provide excellent service to clients.

Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through prospecting and planning.
- Coordinate development of client solutions with solution design team, relationship managers and service offering owners.
- Prepare and lead contract negotiations for new business.
- Follow-up on lead generation.
- Ensure timely account facilitation between the sales and customer service teams.
- Engage with prospects through various channels, such as cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and conferences, to create meaningful connections and promote services.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in freight sales or account management, ideally in the transportation or logistics industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skill
- Prepare and lead contract negotiations for new business
- Follow-up on lead generation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Familiarity with transportation laws and regulations
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Experience with full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and intermodal transportation is a plus
