Director of Business Development
This role will be responsible for hunting, gaining new clients through lead generation, conducting weekly in-person sales calls, and negotiating contracts to gain new business.
Responsibilities:
- This position is remote with travel as needed (roughly 50%).
- This role is 100% hunting, no farming.
- Gain new clients who have transportation and supply chain needs through lead generation, with a focus will be on dedicated contract carriage.
- Weekly face to face sales calls with potential and current clients.
- Write and present proposals for transportation services to potential customers.
- Negotiate contracts for new business.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7-10 years of outside sales experience in the logistics industry with a focus on private fleet conversion/dedicated contract carriage.
- Experience with MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong negotiation and written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills in order to achieve goals and client satisfaction.
