Our client is adding to their team! They are looking to add a Logistics Sales Representative with experience with open deck equipment, project freight, and heavy haul with a desired, but not required, pre-existing book of business.
Job Type: Full-time/ Work from home
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow your own book of business, a current book of business is desired.
- Generate and conduct sales calls to generate new business and maintain and develop clients.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal & external.
- Network with potential customers.
- Possess a general understanding of various types of open deck trucking equipment.
- Understand freight pricing with the ability to calculate pricing for over dimensional freight.
- Load entry (Windows based system).
- 1-3 years’ experience with Open Deck, Project Freight, and Heavy Haul.
- Bachelor's Degree or requisite experience.
- Experience with direct customer engagement.
- Experience with load characteristics and manifests.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
- Working knowledge of dispatch and booking systems.
- Proven problem solving and decision-making expertise.
- Possess strong negotiation and supervisory skills.
- Strong communication, judgement and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with a desire to succeed.
- Takes initiative, self-motivated.
- Works well on a team & individually.
