VP of West Coast Operations
The VP of West Coast Operations is responsible for managing and advocating for West Coast and Local Driver Managers, as well as, taking responsibility for all West Coast operations. This individual will represent the West Coast division in company meets and represent our client to brokers and their customers. Will collaboratively work with the CEO and Director of Transportation.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market and determine best way to consolidate LTL loads.
  • Determine best way to reach KPI‘s set for West Coast division.
  • Ensure communication is done complying to communication policy.
  • Ensure that drivers provide all the necessary paperwork on time.
  • Optimize usage of West Coast Fleet and develop Routes Efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales team to develop business opportunities.
  • Establish Situational procedures for possible problems and scenarios.
  • Create and keep up to date operation manuals.
  • Propose updates to communication policy.
  • Collaborate with human resources to add and train quality employees.
  • Attention and concentration are required throughout the work.
  • Ongoing resolution of employee conflicts.
  • Monitor Employee Productivity and provide constructive feedback.
  • Highest level decision making.
  • Large number of situations, calls and emails that require immediate response.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the CEO.
  • 20% travel required (Lithuania, Bogota, USA).

Experience:
  • 5+ years of prior experience in the Trucking and / or Transportation industry, specifically with LTL freight.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in an operations / Logistics Management role.
  • Prior experience managing a team (5+ direct reports).
  • Proven ability to train, supervise, evaluate and provide work direction and guidance to others.
  • Prior experience handling Eastern European operations is a PLUS.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (i.e. national / state level DOT regulations).
  • Hands-On Leadership Ability.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
