Our client is a leading third-party and asset-based logistics provider that specializes in transportation solutions throughout United States, Canada, and Mexico. With headquarters in Southern California- our client maintains additional offices in Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Texas and Mexico.

VP of Brokerage Sales
Our client is looking for a VP of Brokerage Sales to add to their growing team. This position will be responsible for all sales and possibly operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel growth strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Create profitable growth revenue with our client’s current accounts, while soliciting new sources of revenue and profit.
  • Responsible for development and growth of an inside sales team and division.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales functions including inside sales, customer service, and carrier sales.
  • Establish and manage carrier relations and development activities that support the execution of strategies and action plans to enable the profitable growth of the business unit.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive growth plan of the non-asset brokerage business.
  • Work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit, and establish management processes.
  • Build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate, and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.
  • Responsible for growing and managing multiple branches.

Experience:
  • 5+ years of Freight Brokerage sales and operations leadership (Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor, Team Building).
  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience managing P&L.
  • Strong customer sales ability and management of carrier procurement and customer management KPI’s.
  • Strong negotiation and margin integrity ability required.
  • Able to develop and execute business plan strategies.
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel) and able to drive technology and software (i.e. Aljex).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player; facilitator with conflict resolution.
  • Results driven; able to multitask.
