Talent Recruiter & Trainer- 3PL Brokerage:
This role will be responsible for talent acquisition and will work to support the achievement of business objectives. This role will be a key partner in a high performing team, delivering results and helping create a positive employee experience through implementing new and streamlining existing processes. This role will be responsible for working with the management team to create and implement training programs for the sales and operations team, in addition to recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle recruiting efforts for the company's offices.
  • Utilize online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Coordinate communication and schedule interviews with prospective applicants.  
  • Prepare correspondence with applicants or interested parties.
  • Develop and maintain contacts with schools, alumni groups and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.  
  • Coordinate, schedule and attend college/campus visits and career days.
  • Coordinate, schedule and attend various career fairs.
  • Make public presentations at schools and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.
  • Oversee and lead the orientation process including, but not limited to, making sure new hires have completed all necessary paperwork and that all paperwork is forwarded to correct parties.
  • Confer with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with management to determine training needs.
  • Prepare educational materials, including training documents, manuals, e-learning modules, videos, exams, cheat sheets, etc.
  • Schedule and facilitate all training sessions, including classroom seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions.
  • Support and mentor new employees throughout the new hire process.
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement within the training program.
  • Monitor employee performance and individuals’ responses to training.  
  • Help all employees to cultivate their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are achieved and maintained at all times, and are monitored and updated when and where necessary.

Experience: 

  • Bachelors degree.  
  • 1+ year of recruiting and/or sales experience.
  • Prior transportation or brokerage experience a plus, but not required.
  • McLeod software and Project44 background is strongly preferred.
  • PC proficient (Microsoft Office preferred).  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize job duties, and manage time effectively.
  • Must have energy and possess a positive and ambitious attitude.
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning, and prioritization.  
  • Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated and highly enthusiastic.  
  • Committed to excellence, has strong work ethics and takes pride in their work.
  • Some overnight travel required.

 

This position offers a competitive base salary and potential for a quarterly bonus.
