Our client is an award-winning company that specializes in the restoration of apparel and fabric goods that are affected by fire, smoke, water, or mold contamination. They restore items such as washable or dry cleanable apparel goods, outerwear, hunting wear, and sportswear.

Plant Manager
This Plant Manager is primarily responsible for managing the production of the cleaning of textile and electronic items affected by a loss, per customer and client specifications. The responsibilities encompass managing department personnel, coordinating cross-training efforts with other stations within the plant, maintaining open line of communication with other teams, and ensuring safe and compliant daily operations while delivering on the expectations already set within the company.

  • Manage department personnel and workflow activities for projects per customer specifications.
  • Have a complete understanding of customers’ expectations and requirements from the Account Manager and Customer Service team associated with the claim and communicate full details to the department personnel.
  • Monitor team’s hours per project and task and adjust time allocation as needed to avoid bottlenecks and backlogs.
  • Coordinate cross-training with the other stations within the plant and communicate with senior management on staffing shortages or overages.
  • Provide the leadership necessary for a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
  • Engage team in establishing a motivating and fulfilling work environment.
  • Manage team performance and professional growth.
  • Analyze project management activities for potential gaps, and lead initiatives to develop solutions for efficiencies.
  • Correct unsafe acts and conditions with a mindset to eliminate all defects and hazards.
  • Lead and assist with incoming and outgoing work for deliveries per customer specifications.
  • Cross-train with management of the other stations within the plant.
  • Encourage and drive cross-training efforts between teams for all personnel to assist with sufficient coverage for the entire operation and to aid employee skillset expansion.
  • Provide effective personal leadership to department personnel, including training, mentorship, and periodic performance feedback via quarterly performance evaluations.
  • Maintain high employee morale and commitment levels by fostering a high trust company culture with motivated and highly capable employees.
  • Maintain open and effective communications within and outside of the department. Proactively address and mitigate issues and concerns. Drive continuity across the work shifts.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in Project, Plant, and Personnel Management. This must also include at least 1 year of successful mid- level supervisory experience.
  • Must bring strong leadership and management skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Training on the cleaning and production processes will be provided. Direct experience in these areas is not a necessity for success in this role.
