Our client is a 3PL located in Austin, TX who is seeking key Financial Leaderships positions to join their team and serve as key members to their continued growth plan.

Logistics Finance Manager / Director of Finance
This Logistics Finance Manager / Director of Finance is responsible for supporting the Freight Brokerage in all areas of accounting and financial management. This role is responsible for streamlining and continuously improving upon various accounting functions
and working to satisfy all reporting needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting related workflows including general ledger, monthly close, monthly forecast, annual plan and internal reporting.
  • Oversee all AR/AP process to achieve target cash conversion cycle.
  • Oversee 3-4 Direct Reports including Billing, Collections and AR / AP individuals.
  • Ensure the company tracks relevant financial metrics to measure performance and progress against our client’s goals.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively across teams to problem solve how to improve financial workflows and explore ways to insert workflows into our client’s products.
  • Manage the performance of team members and resolve performance issues.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or business preferred. A combination of other education and experiences will be considered.
  • 5+ years of Finance experience within a Traditional Brokerage environment
  • 3+ of prior management / leadership experience
  • Must be proficient in AR/AP, collections, customer service etc.
  • Other Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) preferred (not required).
  • Familiarity and comfort with working with a large volume transactional data
  • Advanced knowledge of financial concepts and principles such as cash flow, balance sheet, cost of capital, depreciation, tax reporting, etc.; advanced level.
  • Working knowledge of Transportation Management Software is a plus
  • Be able to advise, make recommendations and take decisions related to financial and accounting aspects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be computer literate and able to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint required).
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.
