Logistics Customer Service Representative
This role is responsible for contributing to the daily success of the Direct Sales team. This position is responsible for ensuring the production of accurate and timely sales that reflect the strategic direction the company and executive team have set forth.

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for new customers and drive new sales opportunities through cold call and email efforts.  
  • Create and manage your own book of business by building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Create solutions for customers utilizing our client’s vast portfolio of domestic logistics services.
  • Manage customer expectations while working closely alongside internal teams to ensure expectations are met.
  • Promote customer growth through quoting, dispatching, load management and proper invoicing techniques.
  • Assist with annual RFP opportunities for customers.
  • Encourage proper negotiation techniques with our customer partners.
  • Ensure proper tracking and completion of transactions through all internal and external systems.
  • Customer education to ensure our client maximizes their relationships and profitability.
  • Ensure effective internal communication with all departments (sales, operations, accounting, etc).
  • Maintain relationships with each of your top accounts, thanking them for business, etc.
  • Drive internal changes in structure, SOPs, etc. and push adoption of new systems.  
  • Back-office management- ensure timely resolution of claims, invoices, re-bills, disputes, etc.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of top opportunities and newly closed business to Senior Leadership.

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain is strongly preferred.  
  • Experience in an outbound sales environment preferred.
  • Strong analytical and detail analysis skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • 2+ years of experience in the logistics industry.
  • Strong desire to learn and improve and take charge of processes and process improvement.  
  • Business acumen with knowledge of business needs, goals, and priorities  
  • Critical thinking — use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Complex problem solving — identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Integrity — job requires being honest and ethical.
  • Attention to detail — job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
