Logistics Coordinator
Our client is constantly expanding and shows strong, rapid growth.
Therefore, they are looking to welcome a Logistical Coordinator to manage and develop its portfolio of plant-based products. The Logistics Coordinator will be the linking pin between customer and suppliers, handling incoming calls for service and delivery. Our client is seeking a highly energetic and capable professional who thrives in a fast-paced global trading environment. In addition to effective stakeholder communication the ideal candidate should have a strong Microsoft Office skillset and a strong understanding of ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time/Hybrid Schedule

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate logistics functions and customer focused freight operation. This includes day-to-day order/shipment management from beginning to end, and includes administrative functions.
  • Resolve freight and delivery related opportunities/issues.
  • Root cause analysis: resolve issues and take preventive actions to prevent future occurrences.
Experience:
  • Flexible and adaptable; open communicator with a natural curiosity to learn and understand the business; must be self-driven and highly motivated; comfortable working independently yet, also collaborative and comfortable working with cross- functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in execution of logistics planning including fundamental knowledge of truck/rail/barge/container logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders. Be able to work effectively with a team as well as individually.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skill set and strong understanding of ERP systems.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the greater Chicago area.
