Logistics Brokerage Sales Manager
This role will be responsible for all aspects of the business for the branch P&L, including sales, account management, finance, talent acquisition and development, and regional industry relations. This role will be expected to create and execute strategies that drive continuous growth in both volume and profitability and will play a key role in the evolution of enterprise vision, strategy, process and ensuring the achievement of company goals. 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall profitability of the branch’s P&L.
  • Leverage company value proposition to expand customer base.
  • Coach, lead and manage the sales team.
  • Identify and pursue potential business opportunities.
  • Manage resource allocation while identifying emerging markets and market shifts.
  • Utilize company technologies to improve operational efficiency and create customerfacing value.
  • Manage day-to-day operations with KPI metrics.
  • Create and manage the branch's strategic plan.
  • Develop and maintain best business practices.
  • Execute monthly executive summaries for C-level leadership.
  • Drive customer retention and growth through strategic account planning and relationship building.
  • Conduct employee reviews and set SMART goals.
  • Generate insights leveraging internal and external business intelligence to report on, and drive the business.
  • Calculate and measure risk profile for strategic plans and decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally to review pricing, market penetration and service KPIs.
  • Responsible for accounts receivables and accessorial charge management as well as providing all documentation needed for claims resolution.  
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape.  
  • Drive both revenue and margin growth across multiple verticals and modes.
  • Responsible for the management of customers load acceptance process as well as the creation of SOP’s for each respective system.
  • Create sales calendar, attend customer events and conduct annual business reviews.
  • Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of the company.

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8+ years of industry-related experience.
  • Proven management and leadership experience.
  • Previous experience working with contract management systems, word processing, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to write routine reports, letters and documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
