Logistics Analyst
This is your chance to be part of an exciting and growing team that drives this dynamic company to greater success. Our client is an established, privately held company that prides themselves on being an integrated logistics resource company focused on bringing savings to client’s bottom lines. Currently, they have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-starter to fill an Analyst position within their Logistics group. 

Responsibilities:
  • Perform financial and statistical analysis reporting on logistics activities.  
  • Analyzes data to develop actionable metrics to measure performance, trends, growth, forecast and cost.
  • Monitors initiatives against benchmark metrics to proactively highlight areas of opportunity and improvement.
  • Analyzes and documents customer operational characteristics/requirements.  
  • Prepares executive-level reports and presentations to support customer and vendors meetings.
  • Plays an active role in the execution of Request for Proposal (RFP) process from data collection through contract execution.
  • Runs reports and analyzes impact of vendor rate/service adjustments and vendor comparisons.
  • Identify, justify and present continuous improvement plans to Management, for increasing efficiency, reducing costs and improving customer service.  
  • Develops costing models to determine sourcing strategy.
  • Runs reports and analyzes impact of vendor rate/service adjustments and vendor comparisons.
  • Manages logistics related issues using root cause analysis, to develop corrective action plan.
  • Completes ad hoc assignments as needed.

Experience:
  • College degree required.
  • Ability to read, interpret data and analyze financial reports and contracts.
  • Understanding of the Supply Chain/Logistics industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel and Access, including the use of macros, pivot tables, charting, formatting and VLook-up.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve complex problems.
  • Understanding of LTL tariffs, carriers, rules and contracts is a plus.
  • Enjoys and thrives in fast paced, fluid work environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to interact with Customers, Vendors and Management
  • A self-starter, team player able to organize, prioritize, and multi-task.
