Key Account Manager (Cradle to Grave):
The Key Account Manager maintains and grows relationships between current key accounts and the company. This role understands each customers' business and uses that knowledge to provide solutions and find areas for improvements. Overall, the Key Account Manager will ensure customer satisfaction and overall company profitability.

Responsibilities:
  • Build customer relationships, including rating the customers' freight to be hauled
  • Accept freight from approved customers
  • Find qualified carriers/drivers for hauling needs
  • Find new customers and freight.
  • As applicable, update customer systems with required information
  • Negotiate and select new carriers/drivers for hauling needs.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties, as assigned
  • Distribute tendered freight to staff, ensure accuracy in routing, appointment scheduling, and data entry
  • Provide excellent customer service and issue resolution
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties, as assigned
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (PLUS)
  • 3-5+ years of traditional Brokerage Sales & Operations experience.
  • Prior experience working with Full Truckload freight (Focus on Dry Van & Temp-Controlled)
  • Solid understanding of both customer & carrier sales activities including prospecting leads, soliciting drivers, negotiating rates, etc.
  • Good phone & interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office experience
  • Perform under pressure
  • Excellent time management & attention to detail skills
