EVP of 3PL Sales & Operations
This individual will be responsible for leading the entire Brokerage team with oversight across Customer Sales, Account Management and Carrier Operations. Responsibilities include directing freight brokerage activity through a team of departmental managers and directors, holding primary accountability for annual budget, P&L statement, and management of 200+ indirect reports. This person will manage policy related to productivity, quality, cost control, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and performance measures for the company’s largest subsidiary. 

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes strategic plan for business unit which will drive optimal profitability.
  • Clearly communicates organizational goals to management; supports allocation of resources as needed in order to meet objectives.
  • Develops annual budget and ensures business unit adheres to it.
  • Manages team of Vice Presidents and Directors.
  • Actively coaches, motivates, hires, trains, and disciplines as needed.
  • Leads in formulation of business unit strategy, policy, and procedure.
  • Actively measures the success of each department within business unit.
  • Effectively delegates to ensure commitment to overall strategy.
  • Regularly provides detailed reports and presents to C Suite/B.O.D. on business unit activity.
  • Builds and trains a sales staff to support client/carrier development.
  • Interface with sales personnel and account executives to cultivate and develop new business.
  • Problem resolution for highly escalated service related failures.
  • Manages operations performance and prepare margin/cost analysis.

Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of management experience at freight brokerage or similar environment, with demonstrated leadership progression.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage employee, vendor and customer relationships.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Team-oriented and inspirational leader; takes initiative and leads by example.
  • Effective communicator with all levels, including C Suite, B.O.D., management, to entry-level employees.
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to business need and/or industry changes.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Effective change agent.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus incentive.
