Carrier Operations Representative
Our client is looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join their growing team. They believe that the Dispatcher role is a vital part of the team, and they are excited to welcome a new member who shares their commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Communication: The successful candidate will be responsible for effective communication with customers regarding their shipments. This involves providing updates, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the transportation process.
• Carrier Negotiation: The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in identifying and securing reliable carriers for transportation loads. This includes negotiating competitive prices and contract terms to optimize cost efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
• Load Confirmation and Documentation: The dispatcher will meticulously confirm all load details, ensuring accuracy and completeness. This includes verifying shipment information, confirming carrier assignments, and overseeing the completion and submission of all necessary paperwork, such as Bills of Lading (BOL) and Proof of Delivery (POD).
• Tracking and Tracing: Constant monitoring of shipments to track and trace their progress is essential. The dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring timely pick-ups and deliveries, proactively addressing any potential issues to maintain the integrity of the transportation services.
• Collaboration with Teams: This role requires seamless collaboration with both the dispatch and sales teams. The dispatcher will work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth coordination of operations, sharing vital information and contributing to the overall success of the company.

Experience:

• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate must be able to e?ectively communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to convey information accurately and professionally.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities are a must. The dispatcher will engage with carriers to secure favorable terms, optimizing costs without compromising service quality.
• Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail is crucial in reviewing and con?rming load details and documentation. The candidate should be thorough in ensuring accuracy and completeness of all relevant information.
• Teamwork: The dispatcher should be a team player, capable of collaborating with colleagues across di?erent departments. The company values a family-based business culture, and the ideal candidate will contribute positively to their team dynamic.
• Logistics Experience: Previous experience in logistics, freight, or a related industry for a minimum of 1-2 years is required. Familiarity with transportation operations and documentation will be bene?cial in adapting quickly to the demands of the role.
