Carrier Account Manager
This position will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and securing carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner. In addition, this individual will be customer facing, will provide outstanding customer service, and handle daily tracking and tracing of shipments. All applicants must have freight brokering, operations, and dispatching experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and secure carriers to move freight in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure that freight is picked up, transported and delivered on time to meet and/or exceed client’s expectations. 
  • Professionally manage existing accounts.
  • Participate on a rotating on-call schedule (every 3rd weekday and every 3rd weekend). 
  • Accountable for overall customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships throughout the customer organization.
  • Maintain business by constant contact and follow-up.
  • Enter customer orders into the system.
  • Communicate customer orders to vendors, carriers, and partners.
  • Track orders and communicate any issues to customers or final consignee.
  • Build loads and schedule appointments.
  • Maintain and update accurate information in the company’s operating system.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the Transportation industry, specifically overseeing accounts and dealing with quotes, bookings and tracking.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service skills. 
  • Outgoing, friendly, fun, and a high achiever with the ability to maintain positive and productive relationships with customers.  
  • Bilingual is a plus.
