3PL Sales Representative
Our client is growing its team and has an exciting opening for a 3PL Sales Representative. They will be responsible to develop and follow a sales plan to acquire new customers on an on-going basis, solicit shipments from customers as needed, manage, and maintain sales pipeline while utilizing customer relationship management tools, provide necessary information to team members about new customers through the on-boarding process. Maintain and achieve sales goals through a clear and directed sales plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Outbound phone calls and visits to new potential shippers to achieve the objectives of the agreed upon sales plan.
  • Develops personal sales plans. Engages in on-going training to better develop sales skills.
  • Receives customers’ requests by telephone or email, analyzes requests, provides information requested or ascertains who can best provide the information, and routes the request to the proper person.
  • Analyzes bids and responds to requests for quotes.
  • Searches customer records using our client’s CRM system and provides necessary information and or reports to sales manager and team members.
  • Sets daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and achieves goals.
  • Maintains accurate notes and sales activity in the company CRM system.
  • Keeps operational teams informed as to new customers and provides details to operational teams as to the requirements and needs of each new customer on-
    boarded.
  • Responds to customers’ requests via telephone or email.
  • Has extensive knowledge of services offered, pricing, delivery and transit times, various telemarketing skills, and similar data, as required.
Experience:
  • Degree level education or above is preferred but not essential. 2+ years’ experience in general sales or 1+ years in freight sales or operations.
  • Pleasant telephone voice/manner and ability to persuade, motivate, influence, and negotiate with others.
  • Anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level, and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Analytic and problem-solving skills, fast learner, ability to multi-task, detail orientated and presentation skills.
