Job Title: Carrier Sales Representative – Weekend Shift

Responsibilities:
- Source, vet, and onboard transportation carriers, including trucking companies and logistics providers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to develop a reliable and scalable network
- Negotiate competitive carrier rates based on market conditions, freight lanes, and customer requirements
- Evaluate pricing to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions
- Schedule and manage shipments from pickup through delivery
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, disruptions, or service issues
- Ensure all shipment details and documentation are accurate and complete
- Communicate shipment updates and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer expectations and service requirements
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading and related records
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
- Monitor market trends, capacity, and pricing fluctuations
- Analyze carrier and shipment data to identify operational improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Report on carrier performance and shipment metrics
- Implement contingency plans and resolve claims or service disruptions as needed
- Develop and manage carrier relationships to support daily freight operations
- Coordinate transportation activities to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance
- Negotiate freight rates and secure carrier capacity to meet customer needs
- Maintain consistent communication with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Utilize transportation systems and tools to manage loads, track shipments, and maintain records
- Support customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution
- Maintain organized and accurate shipment documentation and reporting
- Stay informed on transportation market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Contribute to operational efficiency through problem-solving and process improvement efforts
Compensation Details: This position offers a competitive base salary and commission
