Job Type: Full-time; Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell company services to current and potential clients.
- Prepare action plans, identify specific targets, & project the number of contacts to be made.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
- Identify sales prospects, initiate contact with these and other accounts as assigned.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-ups
- Identify and resolve client concerns.
- Communicate information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Finalize and close new deals.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars and networking events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- 2+ Years Transportation Sales experience preferred. (Brokerage, Truckload, 3PL)
- Broad knowledge of transportation/logistics functions.
- Some expertise may be acquired by on-the-job training.
- Ability to persuade and influence others.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor thus providing a positive company image to the public.
- Essential reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- The job scope will require significant local travel to potential clients; therefore, the successful candidate will possess a valid state drivers license with a good MVR report.
