Logistics Sales Executive

Job Type: Full-time; Hybrid

Responsibilities:
  • Present and sell company services to current and potential clients.
  • Prepare action plans, identify specific targets, & project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Identify sales prospects, initiate contact with these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-ups
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Communicate information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Finalize and close new deals.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars and networking events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
  • 2+ Years Transportation Sales experience preferred. (Brokerage, Truckload, 3PL)
  • Broad knowledge of transportation/logistics functions.
  • Some expertise may be acquired by on-the-job training.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor thus providing a positive company image to the public.
  • Essential reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • The job scope will require significant local travel to potential clients; therefore, the successful candidate will possess a valid state drivers license with a good MVR report.
